The Opportunity
You will lead the interior design process from concept through project completion. This role requires a strong balance of creativity, technical expertise, client communication, and project management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and understands how beautiful design translates into successful construction.
Primary Responsibilities
Design
- Develop interior design concepts that align with client goals and project budgets.
- Create mood boards, finish palettes, and presentation materials.
- Produce space plans, furniture layouts, and interior elevations.
- Select materials, finishes, plumbing fixtures, lighting, cabinetry, flooring, hardware, paint, and furnishings.
- Stay current on design trends, products, and building materials.
Technical Documentation
- Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications.
- Produce cabinetry drawings and millwork details.
- Coordinate lighting, electrical, and finish plans.
- Ensure drawings are construction-ready.
Client Experience
- Lead client design meetings and presentations.
- Guide clients through design decisions with confidence.
- Manage revisions while maintaining project schedules.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the design process.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Project Coordinator, architects, and owners.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Assist in budgeting and value engineering.
- Conduct site visits to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
- Resolve field issues related to design and finish selections.
Procurement
- Source materials and products.
- Request pricing and manage vendor relationships.
- Track selections, orders, lead times, and deliveries.
- Maintain organized specification and selection documents.
Qualifications/Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
- 3+ years of residential interior design experience.
- Experience working on remodeling and custom home projects.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with local building codes.
- Photography or styling experience for completed projects.
- Strong understanding of luxury residential finishes and furnishings.
Technology Skills
Preferred experience with::
- SketchUp
- AutoCAD or Revit
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Chief Architect (preferred)
- Canva (preferred)
- Studio Designer or similar procurement software (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: From $75,000, commensurate with experience
